On May 8–9, 2025, an international scientific conference titled “Ukraine’s Losses as a Result of Russian Full-Scale Military Aggression” was held in Lublin, Poland. The event brought together researchers and experts from Poland, Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova, who engaged in two days of in-depth discussions on the devastating consequences of Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine.

The conference explored the wide-ranging losses inflicted on Ukraine, focusing on:

• Human potential – including the impact on education, science, and youth,

• National heritage – from cultural and religious institutions to language and architecture,

• Natural environment – covering ecological destruction and environmental crimes,

• Economic development – with attention to infrastructure, agriculture, and industry.

The event was organized as part of the research project “Legal Analysis of Russia’s Activities in Ukraine Since 2014 in Terms of the Crime of Aggression, War Crimes and Genocide, as well as Legal Solutions in Ukraine’s Neighboring Countries Regarding the Status of Ukrainian Citizens.” The project is funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland.

The conference was hosted by the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.
